Old Grove Hendy Woods

Hendy's 845 acre park features two old-growth Coastal Redwood groves (Little & Big Hendy). Both virgin groves feature redwoods close to 1,ooo years old and reaching more than 300 ft in height.

The Big Hendy loop offers an easy hike (1.3 miles) through the most prominant trees in the valley. These redwoods are both larger and taller than in any grove south of Mendocino and they beautifully highlight the cathedral-like aesthetic that coastal redoods are so famous for.
